Past, Present, and Future

With only two manufacturers currently offering motocross specific machines, a lack of support from the factories, and several major series shrinking, the state of ATV racing isn’t looking as good as it was a few years ago. Luckily, the diehard riders, fans, and companies are still out there, driven by their collective passion. However, many are feeling anxious and scared, fearing extinction as the effects of this ATV recession are being felt all around the country. Is it time to hit the panic button? Is the end near? Fear not my fellow enthusiasts. When you really take the time to look at it, our sport is very young, and we’ve come a long way in that short time. While things might be rough now, there is hope for the future.

As the racing season nears its end, or in some cases has already ended, another has already begun. It’s hunting season. There are no rules, there are no regulations, there’s a not even rifle involved, and you can participate in the comfort of your own home. What kind of hunting season is this you ask? One that involves tracking down sponsors for the upcoming year. This is a time to scramble for sponsors and fight over every last scrap of discounts the big names can offer. While it may not take much gear to get out there, it does take considerable thought and effort to nail the right sponsors for your upcoming year. As mentioned, there are no rules or regulations, but that doesn’t mean there are right and wrong ways to get the job done. The real question is, are you ready?
