Tentative WORCS Schedule Released

WORCS announced the tentative 2013 schedule, and much to the chagrin of Northwest racers, the nearest race to the PNW is Honey Lake. Also, in what appears to be an effort to conserve resources most of the rounds are dual bike/quad rounds, with the exception of Havasu and Canyon. New this year is Canyon Motocross Park in Peoria, AZ  (click here to see photos of the MX track) and returning on the schedule is Sand Hollow, Utah. With all of the series taking place in below the 45th parallel, it will be interesting to see what the ridership is like for 2013. 2012 was arguably a poor year for racing on the West Coast, as numbers dwindled in our two biggest racing series.

Returning this year is Buffalo Bills, Crazy Horse, Sand Hollow, Speedworld (which will be a night race), Glen Helen, Honey Lake, and many riders’ favorite, Honolulu Hills in Taft, California.

Quadcross NW round 5

Riders gathered Saturday and Sunday for the 5th round of Quadcross Northwest at Straddleline ORV park. While Cody Irving was absent from the Pro class, opting instead to spectate the events and take some photos, a few new faces turned up as well as some familiar ones local riders have not seen in a while. Many riders commented on how much they enjoyed Straddleline’s improvements, some coming as far as California and Canada to participate in the event.
