Tanner jump1

18-year-old Tanner Sawyer is from Canby, Oregon. He’s shredded around the dunes for the last seven years with his family like a lot of NW riders. What makes Tanner different than a lot of Northwestern riders? For the last three years he’s been hucking himself off of FMX ramps and practicing his freestyle technique, wowing onlookers and making people jealous of his mad skillz. In this edition of Getting to Know, Tanner lets us into his head to find out his favorite things.

What is your favorite part of riding a quad? My favorite part of riding a quad is the challenge. There is nothing better to me than looking at a new jump or a new trick and finally getting it. Also, I have had the chance to meet quite a few cool people in the process.
What is your dream quad? My dream quad is any Honda! Ride Red!
What are your goals for 2012? My goals for 2012 are to ride in more shows! Last year I got to ride in few around the Northwest. Now that I have had 72′ under my belt for a year I will hopefully be way busier!
What is your biggest ambition? My biggest ambition is to make a living from riding Freestyle Motocross! There would be nothing better than to get to travel the world doing what I love!
Words to remember you by? I would like to thank my family and friends for all their support! Without them and my sponsors I wouldn’t be able at the level I am today!
