Converse All-stars
Introduced to the world in 1921, Converse All-Stars or “Chuck Taylors” are still worn today and are considered by many to be a classic. I bought my first pair about 2 years ago and I still wear them today. They were originally made for basketball, but I typically use them for lifting heavy things in the weight room and looking awesome everywhere else. For power lifting, there is no equal in my opinion. They are cheap and offer a neutral bias, sturdy sole, and allow for a solid lifting platform. If you watch any power lifting meet, the majority of them are wearing these relics. Outside of the athletic realm, they look excellent with anything and are seemingly bulletproof. All in all, you will be cooler and more successful if you wear these shoes regularly.
