Riders braved hot temperatures and huge hucks at this round of WORCS. A favorite location of many racers, Honolulu Hills was another “Super Weekend” where bikes and quads compete on the same track at different times. Beau Baron took his fourth straight WORCS win this year at Honolulu Hills in Taft, California. He and teammate
QuadX hit the Ranch last weekend and the Pro battles intensified. Points leader Davi Haagsma went 1-1 to extend his points lead while Beau Baron followed it up with a 2-2 to further cement in H&M Racing’s domination this year. Dustin Nelson had a little bad luck with a first turn tangle on moto one which he finished in 6th place, but came back to 3rd for moto 2 putting him on the final podium spot for the day, followed by Tanner Gemperle and Josh Row just shy of the box.
In the ProAm class, Grant Mitchell and Ryan Nevin each took a moto win and second, but it would be Mitchell with the top spot because of his second moto win. The final podium spot for ProAm went to Levi Shirley with a 4-3.
The Pro points lead goes to Haagsma (72), followed by Nelson (-7), and Baron (-8). The ProAm points lead is currently held by Nevin (67), with Mitchell and Shirley trailing closely with -2 and -5 points, respectively, behind Nevin.
