In a surprising move, ThreeTwo Motorsports’ has released Honda from their program and has picked up a new ride for the rest of the 2012 season and beyond. Citing “creative and irreconcilable differences” the team made the decision early in May to release Honda. The release is effective immediately. Without hesitation, ThreeTwo Motorsports picked up another ride and is currently looking toward the rest of the outdoor season, starting with the next round of Quadcross Northwest, May 19th and 20th.
ThreeTwo Motorsports’ has kept quiet on which brand their prestigious rider, Bryan “Bmart” Martin will be on, but speculations have run wild since news first broke. With a number of competitive 450s available to professional racers it is anybody’s guess, and nothing from the team’s social media has left clues about which brand it might be. Sources have indicated that it does, in fact, have four wheels, but is not a UTV or 4×4 vehicle. While many have often heard Bmart rave about Kymco’s and Roketas, it has not been confirmed that the team has signed with either brand. Some say it is likely a Suzuki since Bmart was witnessed testing that brand at the Quadcross Northwest opener at Woodland.
“I’m looking forward to having the Hondas in the ThreeTwo Motorsports Museum and I have a spot picked out on the loft…They are 8 years old, and I think it’s time for change,”Martin commented, “I might just make them into flat-trackers. I don’t think the change in my motocross bike is going to reduce the number of women throwing panties at me, so I’m not worried. If anything I think they will probably be throwing their bras at me also.” Coming fresh off of a win in Benton City, it would be possible to see the ThreeTwo Motorsports team out at more flat track events in addition to Quadcross Northwest and other motocross events in the Northwest.
